I was picked to host a Silk & NutriBullet House Party! I’m so excited! If you follow me in Instagram, you’ve probably already seen the arrival of the boxes this past Wednesday.
We don’t have a regular blender, just an immersion one so I was super excited to get picked as a host so that Iwill be able to make smoothies with something closer to a blender. I even created a board on Pinterest so that I can pin recipes I want to try, so make sure to check it out.
I’ve filmed an unboxing of both the NutriBullet and the Party Pack I received, but haven’t uploaded them to youtube yet. I’ll come back here and edit in the links once that is done.
I finally got to test out the NutriBullet yesterday. My mom had hit the grocery store a couple days ago and picked up some fresh spinach and strawberries for us to blend up.
The inaugural blast was done with a Strawberry Banana Spinach Smoothie. I think it came out good, but I wish I had added more strawberries. The recipe called for 6-7 large frozen ones and I added 6 (that were not frozen), but I wish I had added at least 8. I didn’t use a whole banana either, but all I taste is banana. I love that I cannot taste the spinach at all. Oh and since I didn’t use any frozen fruit, I only used 1 cup of juice and added a cup of ice cubes. I should have added more of those too.
I also made a smoothie for my mom. She picked one out of… well we can’t remember. lol But we had written down the recipe, so here it is…
1 handful of spinach
1 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of yogurt
Almond milk to the max line
She also added some chia seeds and protein powder to it.
My actual House Party is this Saturday the 13th, though it might get changed to Sunday. And I might try to Periscope the making of a smoothie. Not sure yet because how exciting is that for people to watch? lol
