18. The meaning behind your blog name

Blog Name: Beautiful Mess

If you’ve read my blog for more then a second, you’ve probably read that I love Lance Bass. Which means if he recommends an artist, I’ll give them at least a listen. So in 2001 when he signed an artist named Meredith Edwards to the management company he had at the time and she came out with a country album, I listened to it. And loved it. I still listen to it 13 years later. One of the songs on the album is titled “A Beautiful Mess“. And that’s where I got my blog name from.

I’d also like to point out that even though my first blog post (that can still be read) where my blog title is “Beautiful Mess” is from March 2006, I actually started using “Beautiful Mess” as a blog name even earlier. Exactly when I can’t remember, but I know it was before 2006. Maybe 2004? Which means that I am not affiliated with the blog “A Beautiful Mess”. I am not her, she is not me. I did not rip off her blog title to use as my own as I’ve read others have thought. She began her blog in 2007, so if I started using the name first, who copied who? Not that I care if we have similar names. I mean, until recently I only had some slight knowledge that there was another website out there with a very close name as mine, but since our site’s are nothing alike what does it matter? I doubt anyone in the blog community will get us mixed up.

Before using the name “Beautiful Mess”, my blog/site was titled “Sweet Kisses”.
