Blogging Challenge… Day 8

I know! I’m late again. I had most of this typed up last night and turned off my laptop before finishing.

Day 8: A place you’ve traveled to and where else you want to travel.

The most recent place I traveled to was back in 2010 when I went to Las Vegas with my dad, step-mom, step-mom’s cousin, brother and brother’s best friend to celebrate my brother’s 21st birthday. We drove to Vegas on a Saturday and some of us came home Thursday. My brother and his friend stayed until Saturday and drove home then (we’d taken 2 cars). My dad & step-mom have 2 time shares in Vegas, so we split those between us. My brother, his friend and I in one. I was in a studio (I had a murphy bed that I kept down the entire time) and the guys were in the connected room (which had a separate bedroom, like it was a room with a door, and a kitchenette). My dad, step-mom & cousin were in a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette in the other time share. Having the separate bedrooms was good because I didn’t have to hear the guys coming back at 4am. lol

Here’s a view of the Strip when standing on the balcony of the room I had. To the left is New York New York and the Monte Carlo. On the right is Planet Hollywood, the Bellagio & the Cosmopolitan. You can probably view more casinos further back, but those are the closest.

For places I want to travel to… the list is long. There are a ton of places I’d like to go, but who knows how many I’ll actually get to. I’d love to visit a lot of the places my ancestors are from. Ireland, various places in England (my way way back ancestors had a castle!), Russia, Poland. Plus I’d like to get back to Michigan and visit family and back to Kentucky to visit friends.
