Could it be?
Could it be? An actual post! haha
I’m still unemployed. I still do not have cable or internet at home. I am still going to Starbucks at least 4 times a week to use the wifi. I’m there right now. This Frappaccino Happy Hour makes for cranky people. It’s 2 hours of non-stop frapp making and I kinda feel bad for the employees for the customers who come in and are cranky themselves that their 4 frapp orders take more than .2 seconds to make.
Anyway, my post is not about Starbucks. Actually… hang on, I’m getting a refill.
The one new thing that I’ve been doing the past couple months is working on my family tree. It’s been pretty interesting and it’s almost like being a detective when trying to piece together families.
My Aunt, my dad’s sister, did her side of the family tree last year so all the information she already had, I put into the tree I am working on. The longest line of ancestors on the tree is my 26th great grandfather who was born in 1007! The hard part is filling in the blanks on my mom’s side. Her side came from Russia & Poland and they’re Jewish, so because of name changes after immigrating to the US, it’s hard to find people. I have the names of my great-grandparents, but not their parents or siblings. And only my Bubbie (Yiddish for grandmother) is left, but she’s 84 so she doesn’t remember a lot of names/dates because she hasn’t had to in so long. The most recent discovery happened 2 days ago when I found out I am related to Lizzie Borden. Yep, the woman accused of murdering her step-mom and dad in Massachusetts in 1892. She is my 7th cousin 3x removed.
Ok, back to more sleuthing. lol And playing of Castleville on facebook. I’m addicted.
